These two men; Halilu Adamu (left) and Bala Garba (right) were caught by Rangers yesterday at the Yankari National Park - a large wildlife park located in Bauchi State. According to the Management of the Reserve, they killed and slaughtered a female roan antelope and are notorious elephant poachers. Garba (right) was arrested in May 2015 for a similar crime and was sentenced to 6 months in jail, but he however returned back to the reserve this year to continue the illegal killing.

E! News is reporting that Drake and Rihanna are officially back together. According to E!, the feelings never faded on Drake's end and had wanted to go steady with Rihanna

Be vigilant! NOA alerts Nigerians on new form of child trafficking!

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) wishes to draw the attention of Nigerians and the general public, especially those in rural areas, to an upsurge in child trafficking and prostitution involving Nigerians, urging citizens to beware of suspicious persons who approach them with the promise of giving their children better lease of life in the city.

 

This alert has become necessary following intelligence community reports which reveal that the Malian authorities have uncovered an under-aged prostitution ring operated by Nigerians. This report was sequel to the arrest of twelve (12) Nigerian adolescent girls involved in prostitution at Kangaba village along Guinea Conakry road, outside Bamako, Mail. The girls, mostly of Edo and Delta States origin, were commercial sex workers at a restaurant/bar called “Nigeria” and owned by an indigene of Edo State popularly known as “Mama Rose”. Investigation also reveals that the girls entered Mali with fake identification cards allegedly issued by human trafficking syndicates operating in Nigeria and Benin Republic.

 

Nigerians are therefore strongly advised not to give out their wards to strangers and suspicious persons whose means of livelihood is not known to avoid the menace of such children being trafficked. Also traditional rulers, ward heads and parents should be vigilant and conscious of suspicious persons in their communities in order to promptly report such and checkmate the activities of human trafficking syndicates.

 

However, the NOA wishes to assure Nigerians that all relevant government organs and other stakeholders have been alerted and are working assiduously to nip the activities of human trafficking syndicates in the bud are. We therefore urge Nigerians to reflect on the tenets of our core values and cooperate with the government and its agencies to check all forms of crime and criminality.

Actress murdered in Atlanta while sitting in her Mercedes Benz

Jokisha Brown, was shot and killed at an Atlanta strip mall while sitting in her black Mercedes SUV car on Friday July 1st just a day before turning 36. The mother of a teenage son was waiting to get her make-up done when a gunman walked up to her car and shot her dead through the passenger seat.
Jokisha had been involved in an abusive relationship which she recently walked away from..

“She went through a hard, very, very hard time with this breakup. She steadily voiced it, she feared for her life that something might happen to her.” one of her friends told
